Estate Planning You Can Trust

I started my estate planning practice with the passion to help families with different backgrounds get protected. I am on a mission to educate my community on the importance of estate planning and how to customize a plan that can help families when really in need.

As a first-generation immigrant and a mom with a 5-year-old boy, I totally understand the uniqueness of immigrant families. We start a new life here and build up our families and wealth here, but when we want to have a plan in place to protect our loved ones and hard-eared money, there are not too many choices for us because our close families are far away from us. However, having a plan in place is especially crucial in our situations because we don’t want to leave our family at risk and have our foreign families come here with no clues about how to gather our wealth and protect our minor kids.

Why we are different

At SC LAW, we believe estate planning is about more than just documents—it’s about protecting your legacy and providing peace of mind for the people you love.

1) A comprehensive 3-Step process leads to the success of your estate plan

We’ve de-mystified the legal process. Our comprehensive three-step planning process is designed to take you from feeling overwhelmed to feeling fully protected, without the stress.

2) Your Attorney for Life, Not Just a Set of Documents

We are not form-filler type estate planning attorney. We are relationship oriented. As your family grows and your life changes, we stay by your side to ensure your plan always reflects your current wishes.

3) Global Expertise: Dual-Licensed in California & Taiwan

Cross-border assets require specialized knowledge. As an attorney licensed in both California and Taiwan, I provide a unique international perspective that ensures your assets are protected across legal systems seamlessly.

4) Clarity in Law, Tax, and Finance

Legalese is confusing. We pride ourselves on providing absolute clarity. We translate complex tax laws and financial strategies into plain English so you can make confident decisions for your family.

5) A Collaborative Team Approach

We are true team players. We work closely with your existing financial advisors, CPAs, and experts to ensure your estate plan is perfectly integrated with your overall wealth strategy.

Comprehensive process

Estate planning for international families—three step comprehensive planning

A ‘document-only’ plan often leaves families with more questions and confusion. When a plan consists only of paperwork without a strategic process, it creates loopholes and gaps that can fail your loved ones when they need protection most. We’ve seen these pitfalls firsthand.

That’s why we created a comprehensive three-step process designed to close every gap, organize your global assets, and give you true, lasting peace of mind.

Step 1: The Family Legacy Strategy Session (2 Hours)

We begin by getting to know your family, your priorities, and the life you’ve built across borders.
In this focused 2-hour session, we go beyond legal documents. We discuss your family dynamics, children, caregiving concerns, your global assets, and the values you want your plan to reflect. Together, we begin creating a coordinated strategy designed to protect your family and bring clarity for the future.

Step 2: The Signing Ceremony

Once your custom plan has been carefully drafted and reviewed, we guide you through the Signing Ceremony—the moment your plan comes together with clarity and intention.
We walk you through each document, answering any remaining questions, and ensuring everything is signed thoughtfully and seamlessly as part of your overall cross-border planning strategy.
Because a trust only works when assets are properly aligned with it, we also provide funding instructions tailored to your specific assets and family situation—including guidance for U.S. and international accounts, real estate, and entity interests where applicable.

Step 3: The Final Consolidation Meeting

A plan is only good if it’s put into action. In our final meeting, we verify that your assets are properly titled and consolidated into your plan. We ensure you leave our office not just with a binder of papers, but with the “Peace of Mind” that comes from knowing your family is 100% protected and your legacy is secure.
